105 years old, Miami is part of the nation's eleventh largest metropolitan area. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Miami's population in 1900 was 1,700 people. Today it is a city rich in cultural and ethnic diversity with 362,470 residents, 60% of them foreign born. In physical size the City is not large, encompassing only 34 square miles.

Tourism is one of the area's most important industries. Millions of visitors flow through Miami International each year.

Spend the day playing on the miles of beautiful, white sand beaches that await you. The beautiful blue green waters are warm year round, and have gentle, relaxing waves.

After you've spent time on the beach, stroll across the two mile long board walk and you will find an endless variety of world class accommodations, as well as some of the finest clubs and restaurants you've ever visited.

If shopping is your thing, you could lose yourself in the endless array of shops and eateries. Take a leisurely walk down Ocean Drive, the main shopping area. Visit the Lincoln Road Mall, this seven block long mall is home to dozens of upscale shops, favourites of the discriminating traveller.
