The latest addition to the Hamilton Aviation series is the Khaki Aviation 40 mm. This high-precision chronograph watch continues a long tradition of military watches from Hamilton. The American brand already was recognized as the official supplier to the US military during World War II, providing over one million timepieces to the forces. Now the Khaki Aviation 40 mm adds today’s technology and contemporary design
to secure its place in the horological history books. A brushed steel case encloses either a black, blue or silver dial with three counters in a contrasting color for easy visibility. This contrasts the newcomer with its predecessor, the Khaki Aviation 44mm, with its two counter “eyes”. The engine of these new timepieces is a Swiss quartz chronograph ETA Normflatline 251.272 movement as an alternative to the ETA Mecaline 7753 automatic movement in the Khaki 44mm. A sapphire crystal and water resistance down to 50 meters add the final touches of durability and robustness. The Khaki Aviation 40 mm comes with a choice of a metal bracelet or a brown leather strap featuring a total new design of folding buckle to close it securely.
